About the Department

The Department of Operations Research & Statistical Quality Control (OR & SQC) at Rayalaseema University was established in 1977 with the objective of bridging the gap between academia and industry. Since its inception, the department has been dedicated to the application of Statistics and Operations Research (OR) in industrial, governmental, and private sectors, making significant contributions to both research and practical implementation.

The department has a strong tradition of molding students in applied research, producing numerous M.Phil. and Ph.D. graduates who have gone on to excel in academia, research, and industry. The faculty members are highly qualified and well-versed in the latest developments in the field, ensuring that students receive cutting-edge knowledge and training.
