Born on July 7, 1964, in Mangalagiri, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. He completed schooling at CK High School, Mangalagiri and earned a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Andhra University (1986). He later obtained his M.Tech (1988) & Ph.D. (1991) from IIT-Kharagpur. Worked at Bharat Dynamics Limited, Bhanur (1991–1995) before joining JNTU College of Engineering, Anantapur as an Assistant Professor (1995–1997). Later, served at Osmania University from 1997 to 2024 as Associate Professor, Professor, and Senior Professor.
