I am glad that our University Placement Cell is actively engaged in disseminating the information about the academic programmes Rayalaseema University offers and the development activities it has initiated. Placement Cell facilitates the coming together of employers and potential employees and serves as the gateway to a bright and successful career. We are committed to the development of human resources in this challenging era of globalization. This centre of higher learning has a history of more than three and a half decades. It has grown from a postgraduate centre offering two courses to a university offering eighteen courses and having 200 colleges affiliated to it. The University also offers MPhil and PhD programmes. Located in one of the worst drought-prone regions in the country, it caters to the academic needs of the economically underdeveloped and socially underprivileged sections of society. One of the youngest universities in Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema University is much ahead of its counterparts in many respects. All Boards of Studies for postgraduate and undergraduate programmes were reconstituted. The Boards have thoroughly revised the syllabi, taking into account the latest trends in the respective fields of study and also the demands of the main stakeholders. Market-driven and technology-centric curriculum has been adopted. Credit based evaluation system has been introduced. The University is taking every step to enhance the quality of higher education in this region.
